ANGER MANAGEMENT
A scanned drawing then taken into photoshop. Shouldn't photoshoped have been introduced into the dictionary by now as an actual word?

LAWN ART
Oil on canvas 30" x 40". The lawn flamingos were a very big item back in the day. My mother bought a pair on a trip to Florida in the early 60's and of course they graced our front lawn when we returned home in tropical West Virginia.

MONKEY JUNGLE
If you visited Miami in the 50's or 60's, chances are you saw this as a bumper sticker that was put on every car that went to Monkey Jungle.

WOLFIES
For over 60 years there was always a Wolfie Cohen restaurant in Miami Beach. If you ever ate there once, you were sure to return time and time again.

3 LIL DEVILS
This is oil on canvas and was an experiment in 3d. With the right kind of 3d glasses the devils float off the canvas as the vortex recedes. The effect had to do with the color selection.

GREETINGS (PENCIL)
This was the pencil sketch that was done before the painting titled "Greetings", which is on an earlier posting.

THE DUNG BEETLE
The Dung Beetles in my yard, I have a large dog, are the most vibrant and beautiful emerald green and brilliant purple metallic in color. They look as though they should be hanging from a golden chain instead of doing what they are doing. Nature does have a sense of humor.

KING OF BLING
I was looking at photos of Angkor Wat and these images struck me as the height of bling. This is a pencil study from a sketch book.

GOLDIE
Here's a few words written by my mother in a book we prepared for our children so they might remember their grandparents and learn some things about them they might otherwise never have known. I even learned some things I didn't know. Goldie was special to me and to everyone who knew her.

Here's a small pencil sketch of the fortune teller along with a song I wrote and recorded using Garageband.

A GOOD BET - The Drawing
Whenever I do a painting I do a number of sketches which then progress into a drawing that is more or less going to be the final painted image. This is the last pencil drawing before I painted "A Good Bet". The painting is on the blog and posted back in January if you'd like to look at again after seeing the drawing.

BIG APPLE CITY
Many years ago, around 30 I think, I did this album cover for what was to become the largest selling childrens album of all time up to that point. Not the music on the album or the art work were responsible for the huge numbers however. Strawberry Shortcake was a franchise sensation among young girls, and I imagine a few young boys, when the album hit the stores. At the time anything with Strawberry and her friends would sell. Sorry the image is kind'a funky but I grabbed it off of the interweb as I don't have a copy of my own.

FRESH
When my family first started traveling from the north to visit Florida in the 1950's and 60's, you knew you had arrived when you started to see signs for fresh orange juice lining the highways and byways. Those signs are still there in some areas of the state but are very hard to see if you only travel the Turnpike or the Interstate highways. This oil painting is 30 inches by 40 inches and is my homage to those wonderful orange juice stands with the fresh squeezed juice we used to love when we first came to Florida. Actually I still love a fresh squeezed orange juice.

PROBABILITY
I was thinking about statistics and the applications for the real world when the unexpected came to mind. Ouch!
